6 months, 6 days & 6 hours until...
I'm back at Graspop Metal Meeting. During the week that the first names were dropped we were even in doubt if we would go again after a somewhat "meh" lineup last year. Headliners have never been our thing, so the north/south stages are generally not the place we hang out. Granted, I didn't really bother looking into many bands last year, as their tagline was "woah they got 4 million views on the socials"... That's not going to cut it for me. GMM really needs to invest in some better PR for their bands. CUE the "I'll-check-'em-out-myself-every-day-during-my-bikeride-to-work-until-I'm-done." Abbreviated, that would result in ICEOMEDMBTWUID, which is horrible.
So let's just go for ... #BLC2GMM – Bart's Lineup Check to GMM.

Let's preface with my current music taste. This might give you an idea why I dislike or like stuff...
Currently I'm almost exclusively listening to hardcore and metalcore, with a dash of punk rock and hip hop (Belgian style). Other stuff I like: thrash, crossover, and stoner metal.

Anyway - without further ado (not sure if I'm going the alphabetical way or not but) - ride 1.
ACCEPT

A quick glance at their band pic on Spotify tells me that it's probably not for me. But I was going to listen to every single band on that lineup for as long as my 25-minute bike ride to work lasts (disclaimer: if something's utter trash, I'll probably skip along quicker).
They kick off with "Balls Against the Wall," and, yeah, after 25 minutes I'm going to label them "mildly interesting" - I'll check them out if I've got nothing else to do. They sound like an ancient band, and apparently they are. They've been playing since 1968, and props for still going strong - just not for me, I guess. They're not entirely dismissed, but I won't be raging about them either.
