#BLC2GMM - catching up to do...
Been sick for almost 2 weeks mid -january so that messed up my BLC2GMM-plan pretty big, then we went to Spain for a week so no rides either. But I'm back on my wheels since last week. π΄ββοΈ So - in order of past weeks rides...

Bloodywood.
#BLC2GMM - Ride 8
Thursday 18 June Metal Dome
Genre: Nu Metal
Spotify bio;
Bloodywood is a metal band from India known for pioneering a sound
that seamlessly fuses Indian folk instruments with metal to
devastating effect. Expect to hear the percussive power of the mighty
Dhol, the melancholic flute, the single stringed Tumbi and several
other uncommon, yet distinctly characteristic sounds from India. A
combination of thunderous Hindi/Punjabi choruses and meaningful
yet unforgiving rap verses along with the ethnic instrumentation
makes Bloodywood a truly unique experience.
This was an entertaining ride, but by the end of those 25mins I was glad to stop the entertainment. I've added them to the MEH-list. I'll check them out if there's nothing better, not going to rush to frontrow though. But 10 outta 10 for this music video π

Terrorizer. β‘
#BLC2GMM - Ride 9
Saturday 20 June Marquee
Genre: Grindcore
Spotify reads;
The beginnings of grindcore are often pinpointed to Napalm Death's 1987 masterpiece Scum and the early work of Carcass, but the 1989 release World Downfall by the overlooked outfit Terrorizer is often talked about in revered tones by extreme metallists worldwide. Featuring members David Vincent (bass, vocals), Pete Sandoval (drums), Jesse Pintado (guitar), and Oscar Garcia (vocals), Terrorizer's lone album has spawned countless imitators over the years, due to its groundbreaking merger of both speed and aggression. Produced by renowned thrash/death metal producer Scott Burns, all you have to do is check out some of the song titles to know what type of a hellacious musical ride that'll soon be in store β "Fear of Napalm," "Strategic Warheads," "Enslaved by Propaganda," "Dead Shall Rise," and the like. After breaking up, all of Terrorizer's members appeared in other outfits Vincent with the Genitorturers, Sandoval with Morbid Angel,
Pintado with Napalm Death, and Garcia with Nausea. Greg Prato, Rovi.
That was an easy β‘As soon as the first note hit I was sold. The only thing that might prevent me from seeing them is if they're scheduled way to early...

Hulder. β‘
#BLC2GMM - Ride 11
Friday 19 June Marquee
Genre: Black Metal
Spotify bio;
The hauntingly grandiose new HULDER album Verses In Oath, created during the dreariest cold months of the Northwest Winter, constitutes the most majestic, untamed manifestation thus far in the band's journey of conquest, as new territory is put to flame and conquered by sword and shield Following a series of demos, EPs, singles, and the 2021 debut LP Godslastering: Hymns Of A Forlorn Peasantry, a pivotal 2022 saw HULDER release The Eternal Fanfare, a five-song mini- album, marking a new phase in the project's rapid development. Further to HULDER's auditory ascendency, the band set the live stage ablaze, touring widely in North America throughout the year and into 2023, which brought them to European shores for the first time as well. Spurred on by these noble victories, the ground was prepared for the immensity of Verses In Oath.
HAIL THE DARKNESS
