#BLC2GMM - ride 2 & 3
Three Days Grace.

This one's still from Friday evening's ride. I vaguely know the band's name from somewhere. Graspop labels it as: Alternative.
Starting track "Animal I Have Become" does not ring a bell, but then along came "I Hate Everything About You." And yeah... besides that one track, I can't say I'm too thrilled to see these guys. I missed them back in their heyday.
It's one of those bands that were big then, and you either liked them and are now looking back with fond memories (sweet nostalgia),
or you missed them and are now like me: meh.
Periphery

Fast forward to today. This morning's ride was Periphery's turn.
Graspop labels it as: Djent.
Spotify announced these guys with the following bio:
Washington, D.C.'s Periphery push at the boundaries of progressive metal, utilizing detuned, extended-range instruments to create a sound that's as technically dizzying as it is relentlessly heavy...
Having no clue who these guys are, I went in blind. Progressive metal surely triggers my interest.
So after 25 minutes of some pretty good riffs, I can say... I'm not that interested.
The wide range of vocals is a major turnoff for me. Going from heavy to Disney in one song is like NOOOPE for me.
Talking about "Atropos" here. Thanks, but no thanks. I'll check the riffs from afar.
